Troublemakers Skateboards was launched in 2006, in Colorado Springs, CO. Designer and founder, Derrick Cook, wanted to be able to design skateboards for the local kids around the neighborhood. Sick of seeing the kids snap their cheap boards on the sidewalk, he researched nationwide to find the best quality board available today. Being an ex-skater himself and Graphic Designer, he was able to find the perfect source for boards and offer the unique designs that you never see on boards today. The majority of skateboards are manufactured in China and mass printed with one or two colors, thus limiting the available styles to very simplistic and uninteresting.

Derrick's Son Aaron Cook, Co-founder of Troublemakers, is an avid skater and product tester for Troublemakers. At only 13 years of age, he has far exceeded Derrick's 1980s retro skills and is bringing insite to what the sport is looking for today. Lightweight and unique concaved boards for better air and advanced tricks is what is needed, and we offer that.
